The Good Oil:

For those after some rest & relaxation, Whale Island is the place to head! Priced from $139USD per/night per/person, it’s not really for those on a budget, but if you want to splurge this is the place to do it.

The bungalows are only meters’ from the waters edge. Basic in their set up, each bungalow has either two singles or a double bed. Each also comes with en-suite, hot water, mosquito nets and a couple of comfy deck chairs!

Included in the price are three tasty meals a day all served in the open air restaurant. All the meals we had over our two nights there were fantastic and all served by the friendly resort staff. Next door, facing west is the bar, it’s the ideal spot to catch the sunset, sip a cocktail, read a book or chat with other guests. All drinks we priced cheaply with beer starting at 20,000VND.

The Resort also has Diving, Snorkeling, Boat Trips, Canoes’, Catamarans and massages available at an extra cost.

Overall, Whale Island is paradise. A place to do nothing or do everything! In our 2 days there we couldn’t fault it. The only negative was leaving!

Room rates where around the $139USD mark and up (per person/night), including Bungalow, boat transfer and three meals daily. Prices get lower per night the longer you stay!
