Vietnam’s Public Holidays - 2008
Vietnam, like the rest of the world, has many public holidays through out the year. In recent years many Vietnamese have seen their incomes increase allowing them to do things they couldn’t only a few years back!
As such, the domestic tourism industry has grown significantly over the years (as has the International market!). So when traveling, you should keep in mind public holidays!
Whilst most will have little impact on your travels, others may. Holidays such as National Day, May Day and Tet (Lunar New Year) are now long weekends meaning many locals travel as well.
So check out the list below and if your traveling in Vietnam over a holiday period, it may pay to pre-book your hotel, plane ticket or your train trip!
