Peace and Quiet in Hanoi…….!
With summer fast approaching, Hanoi is becoming hotter by the day. So when you’re worn out and fed up with the horns, crazy traffic and postcard sellers – who you going to call…….?
The Army Hotel would be a good start! Located on Pham Ngu Lao Street (behind the Opera House) the Army Hotel is a massive place owned by, you guessed it, the Army! But the nice thing about it, is out back there is a great swimming pool set lovely, peaceful and well maintained garden. And through the week it’s almost empty!
Entry for those not staying at the hotel is 60,000VND (approx $4USD) but you can hang out all day and they will even give you a towel – Bonus!! The pool is open from 6am until 10pm. Bring a book, Ipod or your laptop (wifi available) and enjoy some peace and quiet in Hanoi!
