With summer fast approaching, Hanoi is becoming hotter by the day. So when you’re worn out and fed up with the horns, crazy traffic and postcard sellers - who you going to call…….?
The Army Hotel would be a good start! Located on Pham Ngu Lao Street (behind the Opera House) the Army Hotel is a massive place owned by, you guessed it, the Army! But the nice thing about it, is out back there is a great swimming pool set lovely, peaceful and well maintained garden. And through the week it’s almost empty!
Entry for those not staying at the hotel is 60,000VND (approx $4USD) but you can hang out all day and they will even give you a towel - Bonus!! The pool is open from 6am until 10pm. Bring a book, Ipod or your laptop (wifi available) and enjoy some peace and quiet in Hanoi!
