Bookworms in Hanoi

One of the best places for English language books in Hanoi is Bookworm. Before it use to be located on Ngo Van So Street, however they have just moved shops. So if you’re in need of a book, head to the shop at 4B Yen The (next to the shop Dome)

Bookworm is open from 10am – 7pm from Tuesday to Sunday.

Ho Chi Minh Opera House

For those hitting the pavement of HCM City wanting a stunning pic of the Oprea House, don’t hold your breath! It is currently under going refurbishments and is covered in scaffolding!

BBQ 31

If you have looked at your guide book in the “Eating” section, you may have come across the BBQ 31 Restaurant at 31 Ly Tu Trung. This place is one of my favorite places to eat in the country, but to my disappointment, BBQ 31 is no longer! For reasons unknown it has closed its doors and gone!

But fear not the expat bar next door, the Blue Geko, is still going strong late into the night and serves the coldest beers in HCM City (and they also show the Rugby………..and AFL……..and Cricket………and F1/MotoGP…..and everything else!)
