A pre-dawn blaze yesterday at HCM City’s Tan Son Nhat Airport delayed several flights and forced the closedown of its domestic terminal for at least 24 hours, airport authorities said. No human casualties have been reported.
Tran Thuy Minh, director of the Southern Airports Authority, said the domestic terminal was shut down from 5am yesterday and all domestic flights had been diverted to the international terminal instead.
Repairs were underway in an effort to reopen the terminal soon, she said.
